419 Redux (See "Where's Mine" entry)

So here's a new variation on an old theme. See if you can spot what clued me in that it was less than aboveboard. I have pasted it right in here so you can read it in its entirety. You just can't make up this kind of thing. Oh, wait a minute, they have made a feeble attempt to do just that! Shame, shame! I've included the actual internet header for your amusement.

Uh . . .I can't figure out what's right with it! Several things blow me away regarding these spamsters! I've yet to see one plea from ANY spamster that was well written. Okay, some are worse than others, but this "English" couldn't be worse if they tried. Yeah, I know the preponderant number of them come from overseas, but if I was trying to scam someone in a foreign country, I'd at least find someone who is truly fluent in the language I was trying to deceive people in. But then again, if you're fluent in more than one language, you probably can get a REAL job and don't need to cheat people for a few bucks. What do I know?

So, what shocks me, or maybe just slightly surprises me by now, is the fact that this "letter" is SO chock full of red flags, yet many intelligent people WILL fall for this stuff! How does that happen?

uh, did you say hamsters? oh, no, spamsters. that's a shame- it would explain a lot. never mind.

Well, at least I've never met a hamster who wrote such horrific English! Have you? And I'm willing to bet you never will! :-)
